1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial Commissions,
Maestra works with the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial Commission (TRMCC) as their lead on national press and media. We guide the communications strategy and handle ad hoc crisis management and rapid response needs. As a Commission centered in commemorating the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre and celebrating Black Wall Street, we work with the TRMCC on stakeholder engagement, including corporate partners, nonprofit and foundation allies as well as influencers, changemakers, political officials and thought leaders invested in the racial reconciliation work being spearheaded in Tulsa. Additionally, we are leading on the creation of creative content that will not only capture the ethos of Tulsa, Black Wall Street, and descendants of 1921 Tulsa Massacre victims, but will also highlight the importance of Oklahoma's 13 original all-Black.
