Equity & Inclusion Strategy

Netflix is the world's leading streaming entertainment service and has been leading the way for digital content since 1997. Following the death of George Floyd and the surrounding social movement, Netflix approached Maestra to bring in a sensitivity around social issues across their editorial and in house brand communications. We worked with Netflix to identify inclusive content opportunities and pipeline pathways to diversify their writers room.

Scope Included:

  • Conducting a writers room DEI audit and providing feedback and pipeline suggestions

  • Crafting language and guidelines for social media content and comment management

  • Reviewing social content for themes of diversity and inclusion • Developing a voter engagement plan
